Book! - Let's talk about books and reading 2021

 Hey everyone!

It's been awhile since my last blog post....

But here I am again!

So today I'm going to be listing off some good and not so good books I've been reading so far into 2021. If you're interested, just keep on reading

Some books I've read so far this year worth missing:

Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire    *** - 3 stars out of 5

The most recent book I have finished, this book explores what happens to those students who find doorways to other worlds, and what really happens when they come back to the "real" world. A very interesting concept, I enjoyed most of the characters and the writing, but felt the story to be a bit incomplete, but still think it's worth checking out, which is why it gets a 3 out of 5 rating.

The Maze Runner series - The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trails, and The Death Cure by James Dashner

**** 4 stars out of 5

I'm glad I read this series this year. I finished all three books in February and I really enjoyed this series. The trilogy I feel is quite well done and wrapped up well in the final book. This dystopian series follows a group of young boys who find themselves in a maze in the first book and they are trying to figure out the mystery of why they are there since no of them have memories. Again, another good concept, and as we get more clues revealed throughout the books, I enjoyed how the author revealed what was really going on.

Winter World - by A.G. Riddle  ****4 out of 5 stars

I enjoyed this sci-fi novel a lot and surprisingly, since I don't really read a lot of sci-fi. Sci-fi books aren't my usual cup of tea, but this one was intriguing and kept my attention until the final pages. This book is set in the near future in which the entire earth is now in an ice age. No one knows why the entire earth is getting colder and freezing but it's soon discovered that it isn't by natural means. Overall, this story was pretty good even with all the science-y, technical terms thrown around, I greatly enjoyed this one.

The Push by Ashley Audrian - Book Review | Worth the read?

The Push by Ashley Audrian is a story about and mother and her daughter. It is a story about nature vs nurture. It is a story about one little bad seed! In this story we are following a mother, who try as she might cannot connect with her daughter, who might be a monster, or is it all in the mother's head? Check out my review on goodread - Click here or read it below! This book surprised me! At first I could not get into the writing style or the constant back and forth in time jumps, but I told myself to just push on and try a few more chapters. I'm very glad I did. My rating would be a 4.5 or A-/B+ but I went ahead and put 5 stars because this book surprised me with how much I like it. I mean, I even finished it in one day! So let's get into the positives and negatives... Let's get into the positives: -I find that it gives us a look into some of the thoughts of motherhood. (Which I personally have not experienced myself, but as a woman, and someone who does want chil...
