Review of Colourpop x Malibu Barbie Palette

 Hey guys!

Woo! It's been a minute. Teaching during a pandemic really takes up all your free time and I've neglected my time here. But, it's summer and its time to get back to reviewing, writing, and sharing. Thanks so much for reading the post, and today we are talking about the new Barbie Malibu eyeshadow palette that released with the very popular fast-makeup brand Colourpop. Are you interested in this palette and wondering about the quality? Then just keep on reading!

1. Packaging and Presentation

This palette is absolutely beautiful. Let's just admit that now. The packaging is pink with pops of blue, yellow, and orange. It definitely represents that true Malibu feel. The artwork on the palette is amazing as usual when it comes to Colourpop. If you are a Barbie fan, I think you will be satisfied with the overall design of the palette. The palette itself is cardboard packaging, which in my opinion, is the best type of packaging from Colourpop, and I prefer it over their plastic packaging. Inside there are fifteen shades with colors ranging from peach, pink, blue, several neutrals, and a pop of yellow.

2. Formula and Color story

The palette formula is the usual good formula from Colourpop. The colorful shades are pigmented and easy to blend. The shimmers are shiny. There is a bit of kick-up and some of the matte shades can be a bit powedery but it's nothing terrible. Overall, the formula of this palette is great. Additionally, the color story is actually one that is a bit more creative coming from the brand, (in my humble opinion), but of course it depends on the colors you like best.

3. Overall verdict ?????

I really like this palette. The looks you can come up with this 15 pan palette can be varied and you can get very creative with the colors in this palette. The formula is good and the packaging is stellar. If you are a Barbie fan, I think you'd love this palette, and if you aren't a Barbie fan, I think you would still enjoy this palette.

Book! - Let's talk about books and reading 2021

Hey everyone! It's been awhile since my last blog post.... But here I am again!  So today I'm going to be listing off some good and not so good books I've been reading so far into 2021. If you're interested, just keep on reading  Some books I've read so far this year worth missing: Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire    *** - 3 stars out of 5 The most recent book I have finished, this book explores what happens to those students who find doorways to other worlds, and what really happens when they come back to the "real" world. A very interesting concept, I enjoyed most of the characters and the writing, but felt the story to be a bit incomplete, but still think it's worth checking out, which is why it gets a 3 out of 5 rating.  The Maze Runner series - The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trails, and The Death Cure by James Dashner **** 4 stars out of 5 I'm glad I read this series this year. I finished all three books in February and I really enjoyed t

Review of Colourpop Garden Variety Palette

Many makeup brands have been going crazy with so many new makeup release and today I'm giving my quick opinion on the newish Colourpop Garden Variety palette. Since this palette released a few weeks ago, Colourpop has already released two other collections, so I'm a little behind, but I wanted to share my opinion on the Garden Variety palette since I actually bought this palette myself and wanted to review it. So let's get into my opinion and quick review: First some.... Basic Information: Price - $20 Pans - 15 eyeshadows Formulas - mattes, metallics, and Colourpop's super shock formula Net Weight - 17g (.6 oz) Shades: neutrals, oranges, corals, golds, purples, greens, and browns My Opinion: Quality - The quality is the usual quality for Colourpop. Colourpop is one of my favorite brands and has a very good formula. On top of being affordable, they also have a very good formula. This palette is no exception, it has a good formula and I had no issues blending the shadows.
